Tripletex Integration

Connect Tripletex to bring customers, suppliers, and their contact people into the CRM. This helps a founder or small sales team manage outreach, meetings, proposals, and follow-up in CRM while using Tripletex for invoices and product information from the same company record.

There are two separate directions:

Direction What it does
Tripletex → CRM A manual import creates or updates companies and linked contacts.
CRM → Tripletex Optional company and contact workflows send selected CRM changes to Tripletex when records are created or updated.

The basic import does not copy invoices or products into CRM tables. Those are read live or created through company-record actions.

Use cases

Situation How Tripletex helps
Starting from an existing directory Import Tripletex customers, suppliers, and contacts instead of rebuilding the CRM by hand.
Handling both customer and supplier roles Keep one company when Tripletex identifies it as both, with both roles represented in CRM.
Preparing a proposal or renewal Review the customer’s Tripletex invoices before deciding on the next sales action.
Invoicing after a close Create a Tripletex invoice from the company record, choose products, review due days and message, and optionally send it.
Keeping finance-ready records Enable company and contact sync so CRM changes can update Tripletex without repeated copy and paste.
Checking prices during a conversation Open the shared Tripletex product catalogue from a company record while discussing a proposal or order.

Getting Started

Before you connect

Have ready:

  • Access to the CRM workspace.
  • A Tripletex user account that can create an employee API key.
  • Permission to grant the key the customer, contact, product, and invoice access needed by your team.
  • A secure place to copy the key once; keep it private afterward.

Tripletex uses an employee API key for this connection. You do not sign in to Tripletex through an OAuth consent window in the CRM.

Create a Tripletex employee API key

  1. Open Tripletex.
  2. Select your name in the top-right corner and open Min profil.
  3. Open API-tilgang.
  4. Select Ny nøkkel and choose Tilpasset oppsett.
  5. Give the application and key a recognisable name, such as CRM connection.
  6. Select the customer, contact, product, and invoice access needed for the features you plan to use.
  7. Create the key and copy it immediately.

The key connects to the Tripletex company it belongs to. This connection flow does not show a company picker, so verify that the Tripletex user and key belong to the intended company before continuing.

Connect Tripletex

  1. During onboarding, select Import from Tripletex, or open Settings → Integrations and select Connect on the Tripletex card.
  2. Paste the employee API key into the connection form.
  3. Continue and wait for the key and company access checks to finish.
  4. If the checks succeed, select any automatic sync workflows on the final connection screen.
  5. Press Continue.

Select automatic sync

The final connection screen may show:

  • Sync customer to Tripletex for CRM company creation and updates.
  • Sync contact to Tripletex for CRM contact creation and updates.

Turn on the workflows you want. The connection and manual import still work when these switches are left off.

Import data

Import during onboarding

  1. In the onboarding Contacts import step, select Tripletex.
  2. Create the employee key, paste it into the connection form, and complete the access checks.
  3. Select any automatic sync workflows.
  4. Press Continue.
  5. Follow the background import in the task indicator.
  6. Review the Companies and Contacts groups when it finishes.

Import from Settings

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find the connected Tripletex card.
  3. Select Import data and confirm.
  4. Wait for the task to finish before reviewing or searching records.

You can rerun the import when Tripletex has new customers or contacts. Tripletex references are stored on records so matching companies and contacts are updated rather than intentionally duplicated.

What the import brings in

  • Companies for Tripletex customers and suppliers, with name, organisation number, email, phone, website, postal address, city, postcode, country, active status, role categories, and source reference where available.
  • Contacts for Tripletex people, linked through the customer relationship supplied by Tripletex, with names, email, mobile and work phone details where available.
  • One company when the same Tripletex record is both customer and supplier; the two roles are combined.
  • Source references used by later imports, views, and sync workflows.

Invoices and products are not copied by this import workflow.

How to use it

Keep CRM records aligned with Tripletex

When enabled, the customer workflow reacts to CRM company creation and updates. The contact workflow reacts to CRM contact creation and updates, provided the contact belongs to a company. The workflows map supported details and update or create the matching Tripletex record.

These workflows send CRM changes to Tripletex. They do not continuously poll Tripletex for every change, and they do not automatically sync invoices or products. Use Import data for the manual Tripletex-to-CRM refresh.

To enable a workflow later:

  1. Open Workflows from the workspace navigation.
  2. Find Sync customer to Tripletex or Sync contact to Tripletex.
  3. Turn on the relevant switch and complete any activation prompt.

Turn the switch off to stop future automatic runs. Existing records are not removed.

Review Tripletex information on a company record

  1. Open Companies and select a company linked to Tripletex.
  2. Open the record’s Actions or Workflow panel.
  3. Select Views.
  4. Choose Customer’s invoices or Product catalogue.
  5. Select Refresh when you need the latest Tripletex data.
  6. Expand an invoice row when line details are available.

Customer’s invoices can show invoice number, date, amount, paid or outstanding status, and due date. Expanded rows can show item, quantity, unit price, and VAT. Product catalogue shows product name, product number, price, and stock information.

These are live Tripletex views and require the company to have a Tripletex customer reference. The product catalogue is shared by the connected Tripletex company, not owned only by the company record from which it is opened.

Create an invoice or product from a company record

  1. Open the linked company record.
  2. Open its Actions or Workflow panel and select Actions.
  3. Choose Create Tripletex invoice or Create Tripletex product.
  4. Complete the form, review every value, and submit once.

For an invoice, choose products and quantities, set the invoice date and due days, and add an optional reference or message. You can choose whether to email the invoice to the customer. Tripletex creates the order first and then turns it into an invoice. If Tripletex cannot issue the invoice because the company’s organisation number or bank account is incomplete, finish the company details in Tripletex before retrying.

For a product, enter the product information requested by the form, such as name, product number, description, barcode, selling price, cost price, and stock control. The product is saved to the shared Tripletex catalogue and is not assigned only to the company record from which the action was opened.

Use Tripletex in a sales process

  1. Import Tripletex companies and contacts.
  2. Create a CRM view for the next outreach or follow-up group.
  3. Capture mailbox, meeting, or recorder activity on the company and contact records.
  4. Review Tripletex invoices before a renewal or proposal conversation.
  5. Create the Tripletex invoice only after checking customer, products, quantities, prices, due days, and message.
  6. Keep owner, stage, proposal status, and next action in CRM.

Troubleshooting

Tripletex returns a 401 error

The employee key may be incomplete, revoked, expired, or copied incorrectly. In Tripletex, open Min profil → API-tilgang, copy or create the correct custom key, and select Reconnect in the CRM.

Tripletex returns a 403 error

The key is recognised but lacks access for the feature. In Min profil → API-tilgang, select the custom key and enable the required customer, contact, product, or invoice permissions. Save the key, then retry or reconnect.

I created the key for the wrong company

Create a new key for the intended Tripletex company, then use Reconnect in Settings → Integrations and paste the corrected key. This flow does not offer a company picker, so verify the company in Tripletex before connecting.

The connection form does not open

Tripletex key connection does not require an OAuth sign-in window. If the CRM connection form is not visible, allow pop-ups and return to Settings → Integrations to start Connect or Reconnect again.

The import completed but records are missing

Check the Companies and Contacts groups, confirm the task finished, and search by company name, organisation number, contact name, or email. Rerun Import data after correcting the employee key or its company permissions.

A Tripletex view is empty

Confirm the company was imported using the correct key and has a Tripletex customer reference. Refresh the view and check that the key includes the relevant read permission.

A contact did not sync

Check that Sync contact to Tripletex is enabled, that the CRM contact is related to a company, and that the company is already linked to Tripletex. Link the contact and update it again.

An invoice action failed

Check the company link, customer details, products, quantities, prices, invoice date, due days, and message. Confirm the Tripletex company’s organisation number and bank account are complete and that the employee key has invoice access. Check Tripletex and the workflow result before retrying.

I need to reset the connection

Use Reconnect for a corrected or renewed key. To replace the connection entirely, review affected workflows, select Disconnect, create the intended key, and connect again with the desired import and sync options.

Privacy and safety

Keep Tripletex employee keys private and give them only the access your team needs. Verify the company before connecting, review every invoice and product value before submitting, and use Tripletex for official financial records, approvals, and payment status.
