Streak is a Gmail extension.
That's the best thing about it, and the ceiling.

Streak does one idea extremely well: your CRM should be where your email already is. If you live in Gmail all day, that idea is genuinely great, and we give them full credit for it at the bottom of this page. Four things to check before you commit your customer list to it.

If your company is on Outlook,
there is nothing here to buy.

Not limited support. Nothing. Streak is a browser extension that draws a CRM inside the Gmail interface, so without Gmail there's no product to run. We counted the words on their homepage and their pricing page.

  • Gmail, across both pages. 45 mentions
  • Outlook. zero mentions

Counted from the visible text of streak.com and streak.com/pricing on 10 September 2026. Check it with a browser find. That's a sharper version of a problem Copper has too: Copper is a separate application that syncs with Gmail, whereas Streak is Gmail, with pipelines drawn on top. So if half your team is on Microsoft 365, or you acquire a company that is, the answer isn't that it works a bit worse. There is no version of Streak for them. We connect Gmail and Outlook both, on every plan including the free one.

On your computer,
the CRM is a browser tab.

There's no standalone web app. On desktop, Streak is the Gmail tab, in a supported browser. There are mobile apps and they're fine. Some people love this and they aren't wrong to, but it has consequences worth thinking through before your business depends on it.

What living in the inbox gives you3

  • Zero context switchingThe CRM is already open, because your email is.
  • Email history that files itselfThe hardest part of a CRM, and they solved it years ago.
  • Nothing new to learnIt looks like the thing your team already uses all day.

What it costs you4

  • The CRM is as fast as Gmail isOn the day Gmail is having a day, so is your customer list.
  • Everyone works in the inbox nowIncluding bookkeeping, ops and whoever does the invoicing, whether that suits them or not.
  • An extension on each machineYour customer data is displayed by something you install, per browser, per computer.
  • An update can break itA browser or Gmail change that breaks the extension breaks the CRM, and you wait.

It starts at $49 a seat,
and automations are $69.

Their pricing page says straightforward plans, no surprises, no addons, no required fees, no consultants. That's fair and we'd rather compliment it than pick at it, because there genuinely are no add-ons here, which is more than most of this category can say. It's just expensive.

Pro$49per seat, annual

Core CRM, mail merge, shared pipelines. No automations, no integrations, no advanced reports. $2,940 a year for five people.

Pro+$69per seat, annual

Where integrations, automations and advanced reports arrive. If the reason you're leaving a spreadsheet is that you want follow-ups to happen without you, this is the plan, against our $29 with automation on every tier including free.

Enterprise$129per seat, annual

Custom roles and data validation.

streak.com/pricing, read 10 September 2026. Annual prices; monthly is $59, $89 and $159. Their free tier isn't a free CRM: it's a set of Gmail power tools, with email tracking, snippets, mail merge capped at 50 a day and a thread splitter. Useful, genuinely free forever, and not a CRM. streak.com/pricing · softsync.ai/pricing

Twenty AI credits
a month.

This is the number that should stop you, and it's on their own pricing card. Twenty a month, on the plan that costs $49 a seat.

Pro, $49 a seat
20 a user a month
fewer than one a working day
Pro+, $69 a seat
150 a user a month
about seven a working day
Enterprise, $129 a seat
500 a user a month
about twenty-four a day

From streak.com/pricing, read 10 September 2026. We're not going to convert their credits into ours, because different products count different things and a conversion would make the number ours instead of theirs. On our $29 plan the monthly figure is 10,000. Weigh the shape of it rather than the ratio: is AI a thing your CRM does, or a thing it rations? Streak does list ChatGPT, Claude and MCP among their integrations, so your own assistant can reach their data too. What ours gets that theirs doesn't is a written briefing first.

Any browser,
nothing to install.

Open a tab and it's there, on any machine, for the people who live in email and the people who don't.

It connects to Gmail and Outlook both rather than living inside either, so nobody has to move into an inbox to use the CRM. And ours is handed six written manuals before your assistant can touch anything.

SoftSync: contacts, deals and stages in one fast table

We're comparing Pro+, because it's the cheapest Streak plan with automations and integrations.

Where Streak
beats us outright.

The first one is a straight loss for us and we're putting it first.

  • Unlimited records on every paid plan. Their own pricing page says unlimited in Pro, unlimited in Pro+, unlimited in Enterprise. We hold 25,000 per object on Free, 250,000 on Pro and a million on Business. If sheer volume is your problem, they win the line.
  • Automatic email sharing, done properly. Every email history attached to every deal and shared across the team, with no filing. That's the hardest part of a CRM and they nailed it years ago, because they had the unfair advantage of living inside the inbox.
  • If you never leave Gmail, nothing beats being in Gmail. Zero context switching. It's the best implementation of that idea anyone has shipped, and we're not going to pretend a connection is the same thing.
  • The free email tools are genuinely free forever. Tracking, snippets, mail merge, thread splitter. Even if you never buy the CRM they're worth installing.
  • No add-ons, and they say so. Their pricing page promises no addons, no required fees and no consultants, and as far as we can see that's true. Several products on our other comparison pages cannot say that.
  • Track record. Thousands of companies and names on the page we don't have. We're young and we don't have public references yet.

Questions.

We're a Gmail shop. Doesn't that settle it?
It's a real point for them and we've said so. Weigh it against the other three: $49 to start with no automations, twenty AI credits a month, and a CRM that on desktop only exists inside a browser extension. Being in Gmail is worth a lot. It isn't worth everything.
You cap records and they don't. Isn't that worse?
On that line, yes, and it's the first thing in the section above rather than buried in a footnote. Our Pro holds 250,000 records per object, which is past what most businesses of this size ever reach, but if you're the exception they're genuinely better for you.
What's actually wrong with a browser extension?
Nothing, until Gmail changes something, or someone on your team prefers a different browser, or the person doing your invoicing doesn't want to work out of an inbox. It's a design choice with a cost, and the cost lands on the people who aren't in email all day.
Can we move from Streak to SoftSync?
Yes. Pipelines, boxes, contacts, companies and notes come across from an export. Your Gmail-side setup, the snippets, tracked threads and thread splits, doesn't, because it lives in Gmail rather than in the CRM.
Where did your word counts come from?
The visible text of streak.com and streak.com/pricing on 10 September 2026, so you can confirm them with a browser find. Counting the page source instead would give a bigger number for Gmail, because it appears in class names and metadata too, and we'd rather quote the figure you can actually check.
What does Streak cost, exactly?
From their pricing page, read 10 September 2026: Pro $49 per user per month annually and $59 monthly. Pro+ $69 and $89. Enterprise $129 and $159. The free tier is email tools, not the CRM.

Ask where the rest of
your company works.

If the honest answer is all of us, in Gmail, all day, Streak is a good product and their unlimited records beat ours. If anyone on your team is in Outlook, or works outside the inbox, or you'd like more than twenty AI credits a month without paying $69 a seat for it, that's us. Free forever with the whole CRM in it, any browser, no extension to install.
