Can we move from Salesforce to SoftSync?
Yes. Accounts, contacts, opportunities, activities and notes come across from an export. Flows, Apex, page layouts, permission sets and validation rules do not, which is to say the configuration. That is the bad news and the good news: you lose the work, and you lose the mess.
We have built a lot of custom work in our org.
Then one question decides it: how much gets used every week? If the answer is a lot and it carries the business, stay, and we mean that. If it is we are not sure, or it was built for a process we no longer have, that is not value you are losing.
What about Starter Suite at $25?
Close enough to our $29 that price is not the comparison. What matters is the next step. Theirs is Pro Suite at $100 or Core at $195. Ours is $59, and it is more room rather than more features.
We have an administrator. Does she lose her job?
No, the job changes. Time spent on setup, fields and deploys goes to customers. And if admin time today is a partner retainer, that is the cost to compare with our licence, not licence against licence.
